Batas dasar ekonomi ketika itu kalau harga minyak mentah diatas
$38.00/barel, maka pengolahan serpih minyak bisa ekonomis.  Kemudian harga
minyak jatuh sekitar tahun 1985-1986, beratus-beratus geologiawan di-PHK-kan
(termasuk kula niki!).

Lha sekarang harga minyaksudah 70 an $  ,berarti beratus ratus geologiawan
dicari dong pak.
saya masih ingat awal tahun 90 an dulu waktu temen temen melakukan
penelitian batubara cair mengatakan  akan ekonomis kalu harga minyak 35 $,
ternyata sampai sekarang juga tetep saja tdk ada yang mengusahakan., begitu
juga dg berbagai energi alternatif lainnya.
Bagaimana dg CBM apa juga tetep belum ekonomis .
Mungkin nanti barangkali kalau minyak betul betul habis ,baru yang lain di
cari cari ( ibaratnya  gresek gresek sing ono  )
