Kalau yang disebut dimensi kelima itu adalah uncertainty dalam artian 
stochastic uncertainty, multi-realization atau multi-scenario rasanya hampir 
semua software punya cara untuk menanganinya.
 
Jadi ndak baru-baru amat lah.
Yang sampai saat ini (setahu saya) belum ada adalah cara atau paket yang 
menggabungkan uncertainty dari level yang berbeda: static-dynamic sampai ke 
economic (Merak/Teras) secara terintegrasi.

kalau yang sekarang sering dipakai uncertainty nya kan diberi nama risk dan 
dikalikan dengan resources nya jadi risk resources.
tetapi dengan perkembangan 3D-static modeling, uncertainty nya sdh bisa di 
assign mulai dari struktur nya, stratigrafi nya, reservoir nya, dan fluidanya.


mungkin yang biasa bikin 3D-static modeling bisa bicara lebih detail

ada makalah lengkapnya (digital)?

sejak duduk di bangku jurusan geologi, tentu saja yg diajarkan adalah
tentang 'ruang dan waktu' (tampaknya di makalah tsb disebut sbg 3D dan
waktu). jadi sudah sejak dulu, kita pegang 4D tsb. sedangkan dimensi
ke-5 juga bukan barang baru, karena ketidak-pastian inilah yg sangat
diperhitungkan dalam eksplorasi utk mencari mineral dan energi-bumi
lainnya.

mungkin yg menarik adalah bagaimana 5D ini diterjemahkan melalui
bahasa matematika alias secara kuantitas, sehingga dengan bantuan
teknologi (baca: komputer) bisa sangat cepat utk membuat prediksi ke
depan. meskipun, saya kira, kemungkinannya akan sangat banyak alias
beragam.
