Wow...keren. sekarang namanya Olimpiade Geologi Indonesia. Pada era 1970-an awal (kalau gak keliru, maklum sudah lama nian), untuk content materi lomba seperti itu namanya Lomba Kertas Karya Ilmiah Mahasiswa Geologi Indonesia. Dulu (maaf: lagi-lagi bicara dulu) untuk hajat semacam itu dilakukan oleh pemangku hajat yang disebut: Ikatan Mahasiswa Geologi Indonesia (IMAGI). Jika dalam dunia kerja ada IAGI maka IMAGI, meski secara organisatoris bukan onderbownya namun pada format program dan kegiatan (di tataran mahasiswa) sedikit banyak mengikuti (sang Bapak) IAGI.
