The concession agreement between the Ministry ofEnergy and Mineral Resources and National Electricity Power Companyof Jordan, and Estonian powercompany Eesti Energia (Enefit)was signed on 30 April 2008.[1][2] Theproject is developed in the partnership with YTL Power International and Near EastInvestments of Jordan, and will be operated by Attarat Power Company.[3][4] The power plantwill have a total capacity of 470 MW.[5][6] Itwill consist of two circulating-fluidized-bed units.[7] Theengineering,procurement and construction contractwas awarded to Guangdong Power Engineering Corporation, a subsidiary of ChinaEnergy Engineering Group. The power plant would be designed by WorleyParsons.
