Please don't apply as-is.  A friendly Gentoo user has pointed out that
this patch will cause problems for people who have
CONFIG_THINKPAD_ACPI_ALSA_SUPPORT=n.  (The previous patch should still
be fine, though, if a little suboptimal.)
