Good morning and TGIF, We have a recurring problem that I'm hoping someone else may have run across. When multiple SVC dumps occur in succession sometimes it will cause the following message:
IEA043I SVC DUMP REACHED MAXSPACE LIMIT - MAXSPACE=00001500 MEG This in turn causes other problems, like dropping one of our OSA channels: IEF196I IOS071I 0842,85,NET, MISSING CHANNEL AND DEVICE END IOS071I 0842,85,NET, MISSING CHANNEL AND DEVICE END 061 IEF196I IOS071I 2121,C6,*MASTER*, MISSING CHANNEL AND DEVICE END IOS071I 2121,C6,*MASTER*, MISSING CHANNEL AND DEVICE END 066 I believe this problem started after we upgraded from a z900 to z990. The quick fix of course is to increase the MAXSPACE limit but I'd like to resolve the problem of the dropping OSA channels first. I've scoured IBM support site but no hits. Any ideas on this?
