So does the technology under extended format PS datasets
that are read and written using SAM.  There is a nominal
block size in the DSCB used when reading and writing with
BSAM... but there's no attempt to record the original block
boundaries.  NOTE/POINT returns something more like an RBA
(ala VSAM ESDS) than a TTR.
