'Never' is much too strong a word here; interpreted more literally than Jim
meant it, it is indeed wrong.
There are circumstances in which it is appropriate to code either or both of
GUARDSIZE=0 or GUARDLOC=HIGH in an IARV64 macro instruction. That said, the
default is useful for catching AMODE(31) adsdress-reference programming
errors.
