So my reply was in regards to that particular question. But you do bring up a good point. If you have any of those systems with an NFS server on it, then you can use that system to "export" the contents of the CD-ROM (or DVD) which can then be "imported" to z/OS as a z/OS UNIX subdirectory using NFS. I guess that it would also be possible to use the z/OS SMB facility to connect to a CD-ROM which is a "Windows share" (terminology?).
