IBM's DTSC is on LBJ Freeway in Dallas, TX. Not sure where that is in relation to what you're talking about. They have lots of customers and lots of machines (including all the latest gear) and -- AFAICT -- lots of competent mainframe sysprogs. Their public and secure web sites run on z/OS:
