Esmie, Glad you got it taken care of. It is always a problem when you simply change the expiration date for EDM-controlled volumes. The reason for the extra check (and why we were not scratching the tape) is that it was NOT the EDM (HPDM) that told us to expire the tape. So until we know that the EDM that created the file is really done with it, we will not scratch it.
Why was it necessary to use TMSUPDTE to change the expiration date for this volume (and the others)? Doesn't HPDM call ARCTVEXT to expire their tapes?
