there are several possible questions here - a partitioned dataset (the
DB2 name) needs to be expanded.  If the dataset is currently less than
4G and is defined to DB2 correctly, DFDSS will create a new copy with
primary allocation = to current allocation and secondary allocation
unchanged with any version of logical copy. if the existing dataset is
less than 4 G and they want to expand it larger than 4 GB, then DFDSS
will not change the characteristics of the dataset.  it has to be
defined to DB2 as extended (actual parm is DSSIZE > 4GB) and the SMS
rules have to be setup correctly.
