Do you think I could do the install on a z/VM system? I imagine that it is as difficult as on Hercules. Or is it?

AFAIK the Hercules project has copies of the source tapes for OS/360 21.8; I'm not sure who has anything older. Note that PCP, MFT II, MVT and 65MP are just sysgen options; the same tapes apply to all.
