He was using it that is all I can tell you. I gave up a long time ago asking questions in some companies as you end up stepping on some ones toes and all of a sudden it blows up in your face. For all I know he was writing exit code for the 3705. Believe it of not there was a bank in California that did that (long long ago and far far away).
