I don't remember how many models or other features there were to choose from, but in ca. September 1996 I bought a new one from IBM for $30,000. It did its DASD I/O reeeeeeal sloooooooow and had an awesome instruction processing rate of about 2 MIPS. Which was all I needed at that time.
