I disagree.
I've always had unique SMF id's, long before SCRT came out.
As a Capacity Analyst, it's the simplest way to identify systems uniquely.
So, I don't find SCRT's requirement a burden.

Considering all the other requirements for unique SMF ids, why is this one a 
problem?
