What is the problem? JCL failure? SB37-4 abend? Something else? What DSN= in the JCL statement? If none, I would have thought that the allocation would be going to the SMS storage group for temporary datasets. If you don't have such, then they should be going, old style, to any volume which is mounted as PUBLIC or STORAGE. If the DSN= has a valid dataset, then it is either being SMS directed to a particular storage group or if not SMS manged then to some volume mounted STORAGE. I often use UNIT=VIO for temporary files. -- John McKown Systems Engineer IV IT Administrative Services Group HealthMarkets(r) 9151 Boulevard 26 * N.
