The other part, and I guess the TCPIP link need not be Hipersocket, was to just use TELNET from a TSO Session in one LPAR to connect to the TCPIP (and thus VTAM) of the other LPAR. This does tie up the originating TSO session and may therefore not be optimal for his needs. I focused on the i.e. TSO for the target application. The telnet client provided as a TSO command does not support SSL so I at least wouldn't run it over wire. At least once I used this path to access an LPAR when I had OSA troubles (do to that "really fun" SEGMENTATIONOFFLOAD problem(issue?) of the time). The port into my sandbox worked, the port used by Production was the one that failed. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
