Don't know. I got word from one of his co-workers. >> Got this from John Kalinic: <---snip ---> I was looking up Mark's obit and saw you had posted on one of the IBM forums. Mark Died last night. Here is what I got. Some sad news that some of you may have already heard. Mark Thomen died yesterday afternoon. For those of you that didn't know, he had Picks disease, a rare form of dementia. He had been living in an Assisted Living Facility. A week ago he was having a tough time swallowing and then finally respiratory distress. Many months before this he was unable to talk (nor write) and didn't even recognize what to do with a computer. I think he was only 60 yrs. old. The prognosis for Pick's is 2-10 years and he made it three years from diagnosis. His mother died of the same disease. As Pat Choi said, he's better off where he is now and not suffering. I haven't hear of any memorial or funeral as yet. Just thought you should know Regards / Mit freundlichen Grüßen Jenn <---pins ---> ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
