You can also run Linux on your zSeries! :) Thanks for the plug Sam. The ISVCOSTS group is directed at software asset managers. Sometimes that's even their title, but not usually. :) About half the folks are technical and the rest come from the contracts or procurement areas of their companies. Feel free to pass the web link along to the supply chain / contracting / procurement folks in your company. The link above still works. The site has actually moved to http://www.ibm.com/software/isvcosts Most of the threads revolve around suggestions for alternative products and peoples experiences with them. That's the reason we don't allow software vendors to participate. To be fair that applies to IBMers too. It's not that there's anything nefarious going on. In fact, some software salespeople realize that it's in their best interest to encourage their happy customers to sign up and say nice things about them! It is not a technical support forum. It's about product functions, buying experiences, migration, ongoing support, etc. As Sam mentions, the activity level is much lower than IBM-MAIN. The average might be a dozen emails a week. Some weeks there are none, and other weeks more.
