Mohd, Just some basic questions. Is this a one off event or have you had several times? Is it always the same job? What sort of VSAM dataset is it? How big is it? Do you have RACF erase on scratch turned on for it? If so, and the data set is big, the delete will take a long time writing binary zeros over it.
