IIRC (however vaguely), SAS/C supports a construct akin to

    fopen( "//ddname(member)", ... );

I don't know whether it OPENs a separate DCB for each member, or
whether it OPENs on the first call and does FINDs subsequently.
(But then, how would it handle concurrent processing of multiple
members of the same PDS?  HWM?)

Or was this all wishful thinking?

Does Dignus have a curses library?  X11?  I've built xterm with
IBM's C/C++, but we're dropping our license for that.
