We have some members in a control card library that are used in batch jobs as
$ORTPARM input for programs using an internal SORT. These control card members
contain an apparently obsolete SORT parameter named VSCORET. A typical
specification might be coded as "VSCORET=100M".

Does anyone here remember what this parameter used to mean, or could you point
me to any old documentation somewhere on the net that would describe its
purpose?

I am just curious what it may have originally been used for.

TIA for any info you can provide.

Peter
