The IEFBR14 program using allocation actually does an hdelete on a dataset that has been migrated with SMS rather than requiring that the dataset be recalled so that the file can be deleted. This feature was introduced with zOS 1.11. This new feature saves a lot of time and I/O to delete files that have been migrated. There was a problem with the region having to be increased that was discussed on this list. We did not experience the problem because our default region is set to 8m in the iefusi exit.
