Between System Messages and DFP Diagnosis, the error says you were trying to delete a VTOC index dataset. At least you are on the right path.
I think you need NONVSAM, not NVR. Access Method Services says if the dataset is not catalogued you should use IEHPROGM. I don't remember doing that the last time I had this problem so it may be easier just to catalog the VTOCIX in 3.4 first. -----Original Message----- From: IBM Mainframe Discussion List [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of esmie moo Sent: Wednesday, December 15, 2010 6:37 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: QUESTION ABOUT ICKDSF - ICK31505I I tried to delete the entry but I was unsuccessful: DELETE 'SYS1.VTOCIX.PROD09' FILE(VOLUME) NVR IDC3014I CATALOG ERROR IDC3009I ** VSAM CATALOG RETURN CODE IS 102 - REASON CODE IS IGG0CLFP-2 IDC0551I ** ENTRY SYS1.VTOCIX.PROD09 NOT DELETED IDC0001I FUNCTION COMPLETED, HIGHEST CONDITION CODE WAS 8 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
