The newest release of Faver from CA was just tested. It reduced our backup time
from 58 minutes to 10 minutes and from 11 tapes to 6 tapes. Unfortunately, it
is not totally transparent in that it requires a new DD statement, DSSMSGDD. It
is invoking ADRDSSU to do the actual dump of the data.

So anybody know a zero cost way to dynamically add a //DSSMSGDD DD SYSOUT=* to
any step running PGM=GVEXPORT which lacks a //DSSMSGDD statement? <grin> Which
also does not require writing any code and is fully supported? No, I'm not
serious.
