What do you mean by a "COBOL function call"? If you mean that a COBOL INTRINSIC FUNCTION is causing an error, let us know what intrinsic function and what error you are getting.
If you are using "function call" in a NON-COBOL sense (where COBOL would normally use a CALL statement), then any of the interactive debugging tools (IBM or 3rd party should help you with that).
