If you want a different name in the future, you can accomplish it through the start command by adding .identifier (period plus alternate job (STC) name).
Start STRSSA.NEWNAME,... (start parameters) Then you could issue CANCEL NEWNAME or MODIFY NEWNAME, etc. It is actually documented in the Operator Commands book under the START command. I see you can now add JOBNAME= to the start command.
