so please tell me which category is used for CICS? When I look through
the catalog at
http://www-03.ibm.com/systems/z/os/zos/smpe/fixcategory.html I could not
find any CICS category, there are some for z/OS, for DB2, for IMS etc.
but where are the CICS categories?

That is not correct. Are you sure you are downloading the "full" holddata file?
The other ones don't have FIXCAT. That is true for z/OS also.
