Fujitsu used to make a SCSI-2 tape drive with 3490E capability. I believe the line was sold to Computer Peripherals Unlimited, Inc.
There is a web page at: http://www.fujitsutape.com/3490e.html Note also that they offer a data conversion service, so I suppose they will for a fee read a cartridge for you and send you the results on a CD or DVD. I suppose it's possible that these drives show up on the surplus market every so often.
