Depending on the blocksize used, a 3390 cylinder will hold up to about
820K bytes. Unix blocks are typically 512 bytes, so a 3390 cylinder would
at most require about 1640 Unix blocks. Thus, simple arithmetic:
<Unix-blocks> = 1640 x <number-of-cylinders>
Using this, you may over-estimate by a few percent, but you won't under-
estimate.
