Well, you're the one with the FAP; I can only argue from what I remember, and that memory is over 15 years old. My recolection is that node type wasn't code at all; that it was a description of the hardware that exwecuted the code. (About the only thing in SNA that acknowledged the existance of hardware.) I know that's how I interpretted it when I wrote a brief tutorial on SNA for the company I was leaving. It won't be the first time I've been wrong for over 15 years.
