Please don't cheat, Radoslaw. Cheating can come back and haunt you ... Even
though this is just a sandbox system, I would not have taken any shortcuts or
detours from my normal procedure of installing z/OS software and/or maintenance.
Having the Encryption software (and everything else that came in your CBPDO) in
a separate CSI is probably going to cause you problems later on, when you least
expect it (or can afford it).
Personally, even on my sandbox system, I would have prepared a clone set of the
SYSRES volumes and CSI target zones and installed that CBPDO into this clone
set. If something goes horribly wrong with my installation, I can always go back
and re-clone and reinstall. This way I'm never without a working sandbox SYSRES
and my system dataset contents match my SMP/E CSIs.
Consider this, please:
A few months down the road, when you detect a bug and need to install a PTF for
something, which of your CSIs are you going to use to apply this to? In a worst
case scenario, you could end up with a system environment that's no longer
maintainable.
