One will have the hardware token and can perform dynamic hardware changes. The other may not. Both LPAR's can be defined in the IODF. I would also recommend the Redbook HCD and Dynamic IO Reconfiguration Primer, form SG24-4037. I assume you are on a single MF with multiple LPARs. You would have one IODF with multiple systems defined to the IODF, and assigned to various LPAR's.

It's no problem getting the IODF05, from test over to the Prod system and cataloging it. It's just I don't quit understand what to do next.

Just IPL Prod point the IPLPARMS on the HMC to the place where IODF05 if is located?
