So all this will do is get rid of the "gutters" on an 80 byte lrecl
edit/browse? Right? Other than that, edit/browse of a bigger lrecl and
SDSF will look the same.
So the "arrow around" on an 80 byte edit will be nicer, absolutely.

You can approximate the functionality by using the following logmode
when you establish your TSO/E session:
|******************************************************************
|* 51X80 AND 62X160 *
|******************************************************************
|P5162160 MODEENT LOGMODE=P5162160,
| FMPROF=X'03',TSPROF=X'03',
| PRIPROT=X'B1',SECPROT=X'90',COMPROT=X'3080',
| RUSIZES=X'87F8',APPNCOS=#CONNECT,
| PSERVIC=X'02800000000033503EA07F00
You'll have a 51x80 primary size and a 62x160 alternate.
