So all this will do is get rid of the "gutters" on an 80 byte lrecl edit/browse? Right? Other than that, edit/browse of a bigger lrecl and SDSF will look the same.

So the "arrow around" on an 80 byte edit will be nicer, absolutely.

You can approximate the functionality by using the following logmode when you establish your TSO/E session:
