<snip> > Well I have another stupid question. Doesn't DB2 > interoperate just fine in > an SQL environment? > > Tom Marchant But we don't have any DB2 literate people. We have Oracle people, on Sun. <sarcasm>And Oracle is Oracle, right?</sarcasm> Also, from what I have been told (hearsay), we have a "site" license with Oracle which allows us to run Oracle on any / every processor in our organization for the same price (i.e. we pay $$$ per month whether we run on 1 processor or 1000 processors). So, according to what I am told, Oracle on the z/OS system would be already paid for. I find this hard to believe, but I guess it is possible. -- John McKown Senior Systems Programmer HealthMarkets Keeping the Promise of Affordable Coverage Administrative Services Group Information Technology This message (including any attachments) contains confidential information intended for a specific individual and purpose, and its content is protected by law.
