No, but I had to do it. Quite simple configuration, but out of coexistence window.

I've even went from DB2 v4 to v6 directly. Yes, it is not supported, it is not possible to migrate the data ...unless you do it manually: re-define all the DB2 objects then unload and reload data. Time consumig, requires some scripts, no method to fallback, but it worked. It required some testing before. IMHO not too much.

Sometimes extra actions like JES2 off/re-load (or even cold start) are

sufficient for given component.

Sufficient, maybe.
But, desired?
Desired ??? Maybe required.


BTW: I still vote for 'legal' upgrades within coexistence window. I fan of that <g>.
