I'm not naïve about personalities, especially programmer personalities. I founded, built, and sold a successful enterprise software company. I simply did not include in the thread all of the "people" complexities. I restricted the thread to my technical problem at hand. The facts are as I presented them.

Perhaps from his perspective you are asking him to do imprudent things for some private reason, perhaps even things that he is prohibited from doing. Instead of casting aspersions on his motives, it would be more productive to discuss your requirements[1] with him. If you talk to him the way you talk about him, he might be reluctant to help you more than he is required[2] to, so I'd advise you to lose that chip. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
