Absence or presence of REPLY-TO affects differently
those of us who read the list via USENET. If there's no
REPLY-TO, TO is the munged e-mail address of the
sender. Occasionally, someone posts with a REPLY-TO of the
list, and that makes things easier. However, when someone
has a REPLY-TO of their own address, I tend to think it was
just a mistake in the munging (as occasionally happens) and
change it to the list, anyway.

I guess I need to read the newsgroup more often. I wasn't
aware there was a problem with the munging.

Here's part of an e-mail I sent you at the end of June. Perhaps it didn't get through. Since this will be mirrored to Usenet, I've munged the unmunged address.

More importantly, though, on at least some of the echoed posts, the e-mail addresses aren't getting munged. For instance:
Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
shows "From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (R.S.)"

A half hour later, the same poster's edress is properly munged:
Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
"From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (R.S.)"
