Frank, Thanks for the info. The FLASHCPY QUERY gave me what I needed - if I used the RELATIONS parameter with it. I found the ICKDSF manual on the z/OS 1.4 bookshelf doesn't have the FLASHCPY command documented. Fortunately I was able to find the 1.7 collection which does have it documented. I found the TSO commands in the 1.7 bookshelf as well.
Wish list time: It would be nice to have either the TSO or the ICKDSF command give me upon request a simple SOURCE-->TARGET relationship list so I could at a glance see all the flashcopies in effect. Oh well, maybe someday. It shows the relation you are looking for . Unfortunately you have to issue it against every single volume you are interested - you cannot specify a range . Look in ICKDSF User"s Guide and Reference - GC35-0033 . Chapter 15 is where you are looking for. The TSO Command FCQUERY is described in DFSMS ADVANCED COPY SERVICES SC35-0428. Chapter 26 is what you need. I never use the GUI cause the ICKDSF or FCQUERY is more accurate and handsome to me - and i am not to much familiar with the DS6800 . Be sure to have the latest microcode of the GUI installed . hope this helps Frank ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
