So, how many jobs are in your system at the time you get the error? I don't need an exact number, down tot he closest 1000 will be okay. Also, how many JES volumes are defined and active, and what size processors do you have. I also need to have you show me the output from a $DMASDEF that you enter on both systems in your MAS. It might also be helpful for you to give me the output from your $DMEMBer and $DPCEDEF commands. You can send it to me in a offline email if you don't want your information listed here. It appears that someone is holding the checkpoint lock which is necessary for the system that you enter your purge command to have when you issue the command. It's probably something simple. As you only have two MAS members, it's likely that the other one is holding the lock, and it might be something simple to fix. Possibly there are some errors in your JES2 parms that we can discover and correct quickly. Luckily at your level of JES, we can change almost all of them on the fly.
