Since Sam divulged this info, I assume it's OK for me now to say that the  
logic he describes above is the same as I used when I wrote the code for this  
facility in ca. 1988 with some expert advice from Jim Wheaton.  It  may well be 
that the CALLRTM system service in turn SCHEDULEs an SRB, but I  don't know 
if this happens.  It is certainly easy to ascertain with a GTF  trace.
