I am migrating Ent COBOL for Z/OS & OS/390 3.4 and z/OS 1.7 in one of our parallel sysplex system replacing IBM COBOL for OS/390 & VM 2.2.0 and z/OS 1.4. My concern is about the run time environment and upward compatibility of COBOL /LE especially for CICS – DB2 – COBOL programs compiled in z/OS 1.7 and running in z/OS 1.4.
Is there any thing I need to be concerned about?
