I met with some IBM DB2 folks this week and they claim performance was a big aim of V9 and that it buys back a lot of the CPU lost to V8. Not sure about the memory, but with 64 bit addressing, I can't see it going down.

Is new DB2 even slower than DB2 v.8 which is in turn slower than DB2 v.7 ?
Does it consume more memory ?
