Please excuse the product plug. We make a product called SyzSpool which automatically (via many different JOB sysout characteristics) takes the sysout data off of the spool and places it in individual compressed files (transparent compression/decompression) which can be managed (and more importantly for you) searched via any standard search software even ISPF option 3.14. It's also (even at the $5k list price before any discounts) far, far cheaper than CA-View. It's listed on the external company web site (www.SyzygyInc.net).
