Except this started as what should a software vendor be coding for blksize. The vendor can not be sure every shop has someone like you writing acs routines.

Huh? This "started" in a thread whose subject line is "Top 10 Software Install Gripes". *This* post is part of a new, spin-off thread whose subject line is, "Load Library BLKSIZE=32760". The whole point of changing the subject line is to change the subject!

With reference to that other thread, I agree that IBM and ISV product JCL should specify BLKSIZE=32760 for load libraries. In addition, product JCL should probably allow customers to assign SMS attributes to all newly-allocated data sets without the need for ACS routines -- i.e., by specifying DATACLAS, MGMTCLAS, and STORCLAS in the JCL. But, that's irrelevant to this thread.

In *this* thread, I suggested that IBM consider enhancing SMS data classes to allow specification of BLKSIZE for certain data sets. Why should that idea not be considered? Because the *other* thread was about ISV JCL???

I could see a SHARE presentation here. But then MVS SCP would not be the right place for it. I'll bet you have some really good routines and conventions in place.

While it would make for an neat session, I can assure you that my SMS setup is nothing special. I'd like to see how some SMS "guru" like Michael Friske or Joel Ewing sets up their system. I could probably learn something from that!
