Well, the APAR says that TRSMAIN is going to be an alternate entry point to AMATERSE, and sort of implies that the difference is the inut and output DD names. But that means the old TRSMAIN and the new TRSMAIN must be slightly different - PDSE support, etc. I assume IBM would not make the TRSMAIN entry point have the same limitations as the old TRSMAIN. Would they? :-) The APAR speaks only of the product's use for preparing stuff for transmission to/from IBM. Is it in violation of any agreement to use it for other purposes? (Not that that would prevent anybody, but it might effect the support provided by IBM.)
