This should be a "slam dunk". Verify that you're specifying the correct
(internal) IP address and port, and that you're running the tn3270
server on the mainframe. I can't think of any other reason why you
couldn't connect that way; "we do it all the time" with Bluezone, and
from the Internet perspective all the 3270 emulators with which I'm
familiar are pretty much the same as to connectivity.
