Tom,
Is this going to be supported by IBM? If so how?(ie call to support
center) and is it maintenance going to be shipped on the monthly
maintenance tape? Then how is SMP/e going to support it?
The Rexx Alternate Library is not SMP/E installable. It has no
maintenance, having been functionally stabilized for many years. If
there are any bugs, IBM would create a new Web deliverable.
Tom,
Not trying to be too much of a pain here. But I sure would not want to
install *ANY* product that is not supported, especially something in the
linklist (where I am guessing you would have to install it). Its even
worse, IMO than something off the CBT Tape, at least there you have a
person to ask questions of and at least you might get an answer to a bug.
I just don't understand why IBM would not support it. It seems logically
to me that it is something that is reasonably supportable.
<sigh> It is supported, I never said it wasn't. Functionally stabilized
does not mean not supported. If you find a bug, IBM will fix it. Repeat,
if you find a bug, IBM will fix it. I did say that above. Maybe you don't
like Web deliverables. Nothing I can do about that.
