John McKown asks: >Since SUN is now open sourcing Java, I wonder if IBM will start >supplying the source to their port.
I don't know the answer directly. However, note that GPL (GNU Public License) code provides access to source code. So if IBM or anyone else modifies someone else's GPL code, you can ask for and must receive the modified source code. And if it isn't modified, you already can get it. I don't know what Sun's license is. But at least for GPL code, you already have an answer. - - - - - Timothy Sipples IBM Consulting Enterprise Software Architect Specializing in Software Architectures Related to System z Based in Tokyo, Serving IBM Japan and IBM Asia-Pacific E-Mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
